Who We Are

People. Purpose. Empowerment.

The Challenge

Almost 1 in 4 Marion County residents receive federal food assistance, and more than 1 in 4 are enrolled in Medicaid. These are two of the most useful indicators of poverty!**

Our Mission

To provide leadership in developing and sustaining pathways out of poverty through education and support.

Local Support

Marion Matters is a locally funded non-profit 501(c)3 working to empower our community by helping to educate individuals who struggle with daily instability.

**2011 Marion County Job & Family Services Profile

“There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.”

– Margaret J. Wheatley

What We Do

We offer a range of services to the community. With each and every thing we do, our same mission is at heart... Improve lives!
