ERN Success Coaching Cuts Employee Turnover in Half at Ohio Correctional Facility

North Central Correctional Complex in Marion, Ohio has partnered with the Employer Resource Network (ERN) — a nationally growing program affiliated with local nonprofit Marion Matters — to provide on-site support services for facility staff.

Through the program, a dedicated success coach visits twice a week to confidentially help employees navigate real-world barriers like housing instability, transportation gaps, childcare needs, and financial emergencies. New hires also benefit, with access to gas cards and work boot vouchers to ease the costs of getting started. Since the partnership began four years ago, Warden James Craig credits it with cutting retention losses due to employment barriers in half.
